Does anyone else have this problem?
A lot of times when I'm playing GW, I tend to maximize and restore down the screen a lot. A lot of times, I happen to slip and hit the X button...and with no confirmation, the game exits...would it be very difficult to implement a 'Are you sure you want to exit?" sort of message? Or am I the only person this happens to?

i always just used the keyboard shortcut to get back to the desktop. easier and more accessible so if you still have problems with this try that. its windows key+d

The big X button is the Power Button. Its the ragequit button that you press it and everything ends. Nothing you can do about it. Just ALT TAB to minimize if its that big of a problem.

I'm not looking to minimize/maximize...it's more between windowed and full screen. I guess I can try the shortcuts, thanks.

other useful windows shortcuts are alt+enter to switch between windowed and maximized...ctrl+esc to bring up the desktop.

I do it all the time, usually not during a bad time though. Does suck though when you're in the middle of a FoW run or something.

I also got this problem but it just a minor problem for me.
But this problem can be addressed to dev. and add an option to "option bar" on how the X button will react.
Example:
[ ] Enable confirmation on exit.
Something like that ~

ctrl+esc should bring up the start menu over the top of other programs (although would probably cause GW to minimise) it should not bring up the desktop, the desktop shortcut is indeed windows key+d

yeah i mean, i've programmed with GUIs before and I don't think it should be all that hard to implement.
The alt+enter shortcut is useful, though, thanks.

So Anet HAS to fix your slippery mouse movement now?
Not that I'm a fanboy (not anymore) but....this is a bit too much.

I did it during a HA run once, right before we got to halls. My team was less than happy.

Cacheelma, what is your problem?
No one said Anet HAS to do anything - do you see any demands in this thread?
This has probably happened to the majority of us at least once, and although it usually isn't a big deal, I'm sure there are situations where having this implemented would have been a nice help.
Reconnects after losing connection was a huge deal, and it probably took a while to code. This is something that, although it is the user's 'fault', is IMO something that would be worth the time to implement a confirmation message, unless it would take a long time to do (which I really doubt).

Alt+Enter is a nice way to switch between view modes, and specifically for maximizing I prefer double-clicking on a window's title bar.

My problem? Oh please, don't get too personal here.
I wanna ask, what EXACTLY do you call this:

A question to the community? And what would this lead to? Don't tell me it's not leading to anywhere because that would be POINTLESS.
Besides, if you're having so much trouble with button-clicking, try using the Windows-key on your keyboard instead. It will minimize the game window down also.

Again, please quote where myself, or anyone in this thread said that Anet has to do anything.
The only person making a big deal out of anything, is you. If everyone else replied to the thread and said "no, you must be some kind of idiot" then I would have just let the thread die.
However, you act as though no one has ever made a thread calling for some sort of change. This change has very little, if any, downside, as far as my programming knowledge, would not take long to implement, and would probably make a lot of people pretty happy.
No one is making any demands; no one is threatening to quit playing GW if this isn't implemented. If Anet doesn't do this, we'll all be playing GW as though this thread never happened.
This is the last time I will respond to you in this thread, I don't want it getting closed now or it getting cluttered with your nonsense. Thank you.

You're splitting hairs here...
you make a thread suggesting that making such a change would be nice...
and you claim that someone who is opposed to making such a change is saying you are demanding that Anet do it...please reply with a quote where he said you demanded anything...
He made a very valid point...there are easy workarounds to your inability to click a button...he's simply suggesting that your suggestion is a bit over the top since there are easy workarounds that eliminate the problem in it's entirety.
His "nonsense" is a valid point and should be listened to...with all the things that need fixing in this game...adding on things that you think are inconsequential could delay things that many other people would rather see fixed or implemented. You don't program for Guild Wars so you have no idea what it would take to implement it...you have no idea what kind of system they use to come up with, approve, implement, and test ideas.
